A bowl of silver..
It’s so delightful. Try running your hands through the silvery pebbles.. imagine what things you can make out of a kilogram of pure silver. All kinds of bling-blingsmall statue of yourselfutensils you can use for eatingor simply keep them as pebbles so occasionally you can play with them while admiring how they shine...
The good Samaritan
It’s quite surprising that nowadays a good Samaritan still exists. Someone who simply lend a hand without wanting something in return. I’ll give you two incidents as s a comparison. An evening a few Saturdays ago with a group of friends I went to Kuta to hang out. When we decided to leave my friend’s car wouldn’t start. We approached the parking crews to help us. One of the guys, even before starting to give the car a push demanded us to pay 50k for the service. It’s quite a lot for just a push, but I guess it had passed midnight and he thought the help was even more costly, while he was basically ripping off people who needed a help. The next occasion, I slightly hit a motorbike who stopped in the middle of the road with no signal. Slightly meaning he didn’t even feel it, only realized he caused it (although he didn’t admit it, because he insisted he gave a right signal) when another motorbike hit my car quite hard. In short, I settled the problem with the guy on my behind, while the other guy who didn't suffering anything left. Some scratch on both bumpers, also my license plate was messed up. I looked at it and decided to fix it on the weekend. But lo and behold, the next time I remembered about it and took a look it was already fixed! Nice and flat, and attached perfectly to the bumper, as if the collision never happened.I tried to figure out who this kind angel might be. I asked the guy who own the house where I usually park my car, but he said he didn’t do anything. He’s the only person I’m ‘suspicious’ of, but since he denied it I’ve no idea who did it. Well, I guess I can only be grateful that such person still exists… God bless his heart. :)
When doing good is hard to do..
It’s that time of the year when I was supposed to donate blood (after more than 3 months). I lined up at the counter, waiting to have my blood pressure checked.100/80. Too low, so I was refused (again). Oh well..My mind went to a friend who just died from an accident. Wondered if only the doctors could harvested his organs .. I’m not going into any debate of what the family would think, what should and shouldn’t be done. Simply reminded of a scene from ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ when the senior doctor insisted the newly dead youngster’s organs should be harvested while they can.
a good day to die?
It's such a heart breaking that I have to write another entry on death....Similar with what I wrote months ago, it was motor bike accident, but this time he didn't even make it to the hospital. The story I heard was that he got home from a party, doing his usual thing, drunk and rode on his motorbike. Collided with another motorbike in Seminyak area and hit his head hard.He wrote something on his fb a few days ago... hoping to survive 2009. (was that premonition?)He was young and talented.. And we share similar name.. nobody's going to call me Aldita anymore...
